HOW climate change is affecting food production.
Climate change is seriously affecting food production. Rainfall, hot or dry spells or flooding and storms have large effects on crops and animals. Climate change effects all types of crops such as vegetables, rice, wheat and fruit. Livestock is affected as well because if extreme dry, hot spells leaving them without food and water to eat. We need to find alternate ways to farm and produce our food if temperatures are going to keep rising. According to the United Nations, by the year 2050, the Earth’s population will have reached 9.6 billion. If we are going to feed that amount of people we need to produce more food than ever.
